Why I’ll No Longer Have A Birthday
I killed myself in 2019.
Someone asked me why I didn’t share photos of my birthday party on social media this year.
“Was the party bad? What’s wrong with it?”
No. Nothing. I just didn’t share them.
Another person asked me why I didn’t “like” his photo of me and my birthday cake on Facebook?
“Did you not like the cake? Did you not like how I framed the photo?”
No dude. Chill out. I just didn’t “like” it.
Bottomline to end all bottomlines:
I just didn’t want to.
(that’s it. and yes that’s a full-stop.)
Yo, does everything have to be publicly shared to be legit now?
As part of the 1st generation to experience the power of social media, I’m still no where near finding a way to integrate it into my life.
This year, on my birthday:
I’ve officially given up.
(Note: I’m only referring to the integration part.)
