What I thought I knew about love.
Emphasis on the knowing part.
Note: I was very disturbed while writing this article and needed some inspiration. I got exactly what I needed from “How To Know It’s Love” by Kris Gage
I know I’m late to the binge-read-Kris-Gage game but damn was she a breath of fresh air. I really love her writing.
So, if you haven’t read my most cheery debut article on Medium yet, here you go: “ok, 3 disturbing reasons NOT to die right now”
In it, I talked quite a bit about being unable to feel LOVE.
Hence, this article was born.
It will be my first attempt at dismantling this mysterious thing called love.
First. I want to publicly admit that I am a noob and have a seriously warped and fickle idea of love.
In fact, it has come to my attention lately just how disturbing and illogical my earliest education of true love is — basically all derived from Disney Princess Movies from the 90s.
Childhood
Little Mermaid:
Started off as an infatuation, then a few bad friends & a lot of hormones later…YOLO! Went ahead with super risky non-plan to get the guy.
