Smoke up on 420, Jesus rise on 421
Marijuana and Spirituality, let’s dive into it.
Considering how Easter Sunday is one day after 420 this year, I thought it would be highly apt to write a little bit about the holiness of smoking up.
👋Warning👋: these are taken extremely out of context. So please. It’s the weekend, take a chill pill.
1. Marijuana and Gay Marriage
A couple of years ago, on 6 Nov 2012, Washington and Colorado legalized recreational use of Marijuana. On the same day, Washington voters approved Referendum 74 which resulted in the legalisation of same-sex marriage in the state.
It was a triumph for both the merry-juana🌲 and LGBTQ+ advocates🏳️🌈!
…and poof! this quote was born into the Internet:
To be clear, this is not an exact quote from the Bible.
Instead, the verse should read:
“If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They are to be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.”
Leviticus 20:13 New International Version (NIV)
Yes, there was no explicit mention of being stoned to death, but that’s probably because it was almost too obvious.
