Love Capsule 6: A Man’s Search For Meaning
Appreciation post to the Quarantine for teaching me about Love.
During this quarantine period, with many of my “couple-friends” breaking up left and right, and people having cabin fever around my neighbourhood (shouting in the middle of the night and throwing stuff out of their windows etc.) I’m very thankful I’m still able to hold my job, work from home and not worry about keeping my relationship alive.
(It’s strange hearing myself say this but I am kinda thankful I broke up with my ex early this year, before the Covid-19 pandemic got serious around the world.)
And. Because I have so much time on my hands and unable to go out, party my face off to escape my own reverie, I’ve finally found the patience to think about Love more deeply.
Time and time again, Viktor Frankl’s book “Man’s Search for Meaning” comes to me whenever it comes to Love.
There is a passage that never fails to suspend me in my own thoughts, to the point where I find myself wanting to share them. Because, well… you know…why not?
